Key Responsibilities

Lecturer (BPS-18)

• Conduct lectures and tutorials for undergraduate students
• Prepare course materials and examination papers
• Supervise student projects and research activities
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities
• Engage in professional development and research

Assistant Professor (BPS-19)

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• Supervise graduate student research and theses
• Conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Develop curriculum and course content
• Contribute to departmental administration
• Participate in university committees and academic activities

Associate Professor (BPS-20)

• Teach and supervise at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Lead research projects and mentor junior faculty
• Publish research in high-impact journals
• Secure research grants and funding
• Contribute to curriculum development and program review
• Serve on university committees and provide academic leadership
• Represent the department in academic forums

Professor (BPS-21)

• Provide academic and administrative leadership in the department
• Teach specialized courses at postgraduate and doctoral levels
• Supervise PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
• Lead major research initiatives and secure significant funding
• Publish extensively in top-tier international journals
• Mentor faculty members and guide departmental research strategy
• Represent the university in national and international academic forums
• Contribute to policy-making and strategic planning

Salary Package

Note: Salaries are determined by the Government of Pakistan’s Basic Pay Scale (BPS) structure along with applicable allowances and benefits as per university policy.
