The Health Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is seeking applications for Medical Officers (BPS-17) and Dental Surgeons (BPS-17) to serve at government health facilities in District Chitral Upper.

Medical Officer (BPS-17)

- Regional Health Centers (RHCs): RHC Drassam, RHC Shagram, RHC Naoduro
- Civil Dispensaries (CDs): Charun Oweer, Barum Oweer, Kushum, Gohkir, Morder, Shogram Oweer, Rayeen, Meragram No. 2, Terich, Shouch Terich, Ionkho, and Zanglasht
Dental Surgeon (BPS-17)

- Location: Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Booni
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Officer
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including OPD consultations, minor procedures, emergency stabilization, and referral decisions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and registers.
- Ensure rational use of medicines and adherence to established protocols.
- Support maternal, neonatal, and child health services, coordinating with Lady Health Visitors (LHVs) and Community Midwives (CMWs).
- Participate in disease surveillance activities and immunization campaigns (EPI).
- Ensure Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) compliance and safe waste management practices.
- Engage with local communities to promote health education and facilitate early referrals in emergencies or obstetric complications.
Dental Surgeon
- Deliver preventive, restorative, and minor surgical dental care services.
- Maintain sterilization protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Provide on-call coverage as per facility roster.
Eligibility Criteria:
Medical Officer
- MBBS or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Completion of a House Job certificate.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) / Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
Dental Surgeon
- BDS degree with completion of a House Job.
- Valid registration with the PMDC/PMC.

Terms and Conditions:
- Appointments are merit-based and will be conducted through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).
- Online applications are required via ETEA, with separate fees for each post.
- Government/Semi-Government employees should apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Foreign degrees must be equated by HEC, and MBBS/BDS degrees must be verified by PMC/PMDC.
- The positions offer a lump-sum pay, non-pensionable service on a one-year contract, extendable based on performance and need.
- A probation period of 90 days, extendable by another 90 days, applies.
- Appointments are non-transferable to facilities other than those specified.
- Leaves will be granted as per applicable rules, with eligibility for an annual increment of 5% based on performance.
- Candidates must join within 30 days of the offer issuance.
- Performance will be evaluated using quantifiable indicators by the IMU.
