Job Description
Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC), Pakistan’s leading public sector utility, serves the people of Karachi metropolitan area and is responsible for ensuring clean, safe drinking water and sewerage services to the public. Enacted under the Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) Act, 2023, the utility is undergoing an organizational reform and transformation process. KW&SC’s extensive water supply network includes pipelines of various gauges and lengths, reservoirs, pumping stations, filtration plants, etc. It transports water from remote sources to the taps of Karachi’s residents. KW&SC is proud to offer its services to the city of Karachi; however, the massive operations pose their own unique challenges. Our team-building efforts are aimed at surpassing such operational challenges. KW&SC is inviting applications from experienced and passionate water engineers to lead the hydraulic modelling function through latest technology-assisted methods in order to enhance its institutional capacity — across standard operational network as well as new projects.
Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) is a public utility corporation under the Government of Sindh. It is responsible for providing potable water supply and managing sewerage disposal services for the residents of Karachi. The corporation aims to ensure the efficient management of water resources and sanitation infrastructure for the metropolitan area.

- Qualification: Bachelor / Graduation, Master's Degree in Water Resource Engineering
- Experience: 12-15 years in Civil Engineering, with at least 5 years in Water Sector (consultancy or utility agency)
- Develop and maintain hydraulic models of complex water distribution networks.
- Simulate data, identify differences, resolve anomalies in the field.
- Assist in the installation of flow and pressure monitoring equipment.
- Compare and calibrate simulation outcomes with real-world observations.
- Prepare technical specifications, define monitoring points.
- Identify and recommend interventions for system optimization, loss reduction, design improvements.
- Coordinate with engineering and operational teams to ensure model accuracy and integration into decision-making.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Liaise with other departments.
- Develop and conduct training programs.
- Contract term will be 3 years, which may be extended depending on the individual’s satisfactory performance.
- Market-based compensation package will be offered to the selected candidate.
