Job Description
Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore is seeking applications for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor under Basic Pay Scale/Tenure Track System. This is a great opportunity for qualified individuals to join a leading research institution.

- Qualification: Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Terminal Qualification in Molecular Biology
- Experience: 15 years teaching/research experience
- 15 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
- 10 years Post-Ph.D teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
- Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last five years) in HEC recognized journals.
- Stem Cells, Virology, Forensic, Genetic Screening and Plant Genetic Modification.
- Assistant Professor (BPS-19/TTS)
- Qualification: Ph.D Degree/ Terminal Qualification in Molecular Biology
- Experience: 11 year Post-Ph.D or minimum of 07 years of Post-Ph. D experience
- 11 year Post-Ph.D or minimum of 07 years of Post-Ph. D experience along with at least 12 years of experience prior to Ph.D. The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
- 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last five years) in the journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission i:e research papers published in journals that fall under W category (impact factor) journals.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
- Stem Cells, Virology, Forensic, Genetic Screening and Plant Genetic Modification.
- The candidates are required to submit one hard copy of application on the relevant prescribed form along with complete set of testimonials/research work/publications/photograph (1×1)/certificate of any distinction etc.
- A soft copy of the application for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor along with all supporting testimonials, should be submitted as a single PDF file via email to [email protected].
- All attached academic degrees and certificates must be duly attested by the HEC / IBCC.
- The candidates are required to submit a crossed Bank draft/Pay Order of Rs.5000/- for the Post of Professor and Rs.3000/- for the Post of Assistant Professor (The Bank draft/Pay Order should be drawn in favor of the Director CEMB, Lahore).
- Prescribed application form is available at the Centre’s website www.cemb.edu.pk.
- Candidates applying under both the systems should submit separate applications along with complete documents together with required Bank draft/Pay order for each application.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for interviews.
- Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel by due date. Incomplete applications (in any case) or those received after due date shall also not be entertained.
- The only shortlisted candidates will be called for test and/or interview.
- The Centre reserves the right not to fill/withdraw any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
- Foreign degree holders must provide equivalence certificate issued by the HEC.
- All rules in letter & spirit of TTS version 2.0 & BPS are applicable.
