Job Description

Vacancies at Local Government & Community Development Department, Punjab

The Government of the Punjab, LG & CD Department has established a Project Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU-UBMS) under the IT-Based Monitoring System Project to enhance service delivery in local governments of Punjab. The project aims to digitize local government functions such as HRMIS, Financial Management System & Asset Management (Immovable & Movable Asset), Pension Management System, E-Billing, ADP, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, etc. The Department seeks professionals for performance-based contracts till June 2027, extendable based on department decision and satisfactory performance.

Available Positions

1. Project Coordinator

Qualification	Experience	No. of Posts	Maximum Age (in Years)	Monthly Salary
Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Business Administration, and Computer Sciences from HEC Recognized foreign or local institute	Must have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in supporting software projects. Experience of providing client-side support will be preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with local governments in areas such as budgeting, financial management, accounting, own-source revenue (OSR) collection, public accounts, and municipal asset management.	2	45	242,000 (lumpsum)

2. Database Administrator

Qualification	Experience	No. of Posts	Maximum Age (in Years)	Monthly Salary
Minimum 16 years of education with a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related from a reputed HEC-recognized local or foreign institution	Must have at least 3 years of post-qualification working experience in the Public/Private sector in MySQL Database Management and Administration. Well-versed in Database Functions, optimization, Performance, and Security. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with local governments.	1	45	242,000 (lumpsum)

3. Software Engineer

Qualification	Experience	No. of Posts	Maximum Age (in Years)	Monthly Salary
Minimum 16 years of education with a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related from a reputed HEC-recognized local or foreign institution	Must have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in PHP, Laravel, Angular, and MySQL with a reputed IT organization. Must have good communication skills.	1	45	242,000 (lumpsum)

4. Assistant Program Officer

Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Business Administration, and Computer Sciences from HEC Recognized foreign or local institute	Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with local governments in areas such as budgeting, financial management, accounting, own-source revenue (OSR) collection, public accounts, and municipal asset management.	2	45	107,000 (lumpsum)
