Position 01: Fraud Investigation Executive (AVP)
Reporting to
Divisional Head – Fraud Investigation Division
Educational/Professional Qualification
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
- Candidates having Master’s Degree and / or any professional qualification (e.g Business / Banking / Audit / Law / Criminology, etc) and / or other professional certification i.e. / ACCA / CIA etc. will be preferred
- Fraud prevention / investigation related professional certification (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner) is a plus
Experience
- Minimum 03 years of experience including 04 years in Compliance and / or Inspection / IT and / or Audit and / or Risk management
- Exposure of fraud investigation (including 04 years in Compliance and / or Inspection / IT and / or Audit and / or Risk management) / diagnostic reports / technical nature / case report analysis / anti-fraud work / control design, is highly advantage
Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required
- Thorough understanding of Banking business with awareness of regulatory / compliance environment (Internal Regulations and / or Local Laws, SECP Regulations, Industry standards, etc
- Knowledge of Banking related laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and practices
- Well-conversant and hands-on experience in using MS Office applications, Core Banking System (Finacle) and other systems used by the Bank

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities
- To analyze fraud information along with investigation into allegations of fraud, financial misconduct etc. as per investigation plan
- To review, spot analyze discrete, identify and assess evidence and ensure dots between data points from multiple sources / accurate corroboration / strengthening of records / items of evidential value
- To prepare and undertake field assignments / visits to branches / back offices for identification and collection of evidences
- To interview individuals / witnesses with information about the fraud, analyze the relevant statements and prepare Interview Findings / to plan report as per investigation plan and issue the same to the stakeholders
- To identify non-implementation of relevant back policies & controls and suggest remedial measures
- To review investigation work and investigation reports conclusion by other investigators to ensure completeness, accuracy & quality
- To submit reports / confirmation from all the stakeholders of investigation
- To liaise with law enforcement authorities, legal counsels and court officials, where applicable
- To review incident management, business continuity, anti-disruption handling similar incidents
- To coordinate with Audit, Operational Risk, Human Resources and other relevant stakeholders as and when needed

- Candidates having certification related to CISA / CEM / CISM / CISSP / CRISC / ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and / or any other relevant professional qualification related to Information / Cyber Security, would be preferred
Experience
- Minimum 04 years of experience in Audit of digital Banking financial systems / software / applications and / or IT Infrastructure within Financial Institutions and / or Fintech sectors

- To review the internal control environment for IS / IT assets and ensure security best practices, regulatory requirements and frameworks are embedded in digital banking activities
- To perform IS audit assignments independently as a team leader ensuring communication and liaise of use modern audit practices with relevant stakeholders for discussions and finalize audit reports upon conclusion
- To analyse and evaluate review results and evaluate the implementation of appropriate mitigating controls during the audits of Digital banking, IT Applications and information security
- To provide audit insights and consultancy to Technology Audits committees and stakeholders
- To identify weaknesses in the design and implementation of controls in digital platforms, business applications and IT related processes

- To conduct audits of front office (trading and investment activities) and middle office (limits monitoring, risk reporting) to evaluate control effectiveness and compliance
- To assist in development of Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) of functions and their periodic review
- Understanding / interpretation of complex business process (to anticipate regulatory risks) sensitivity/stress testing, and limit breaches
- To assess liquidity risk management, including cash flow forecasting, LCR, and NSFR for specific divisions
- To evaluate effectiveness of controls across key Treasury systems and interfaces
