Job Purpose
To maximize audit value by focusing limited resources on the most significant risks an organization faces, ensuring controls are effective, providing assurance to leadership, and delivering insights to help achieve strategic objectives. The role involves identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and testing high-risk areas including financial, operational, and compliance risks, followed by reporting on control effectiveness and recommending improvements to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply strong knowledge of Financial Reporting & Auditing Standards
- Implement Governance, Risk & Control (GRC) frameworks
- Maintain knowledge of economic environment, financial systems, banking & insurance industry
- Review and verify accuracy of financial records for compliance with rules and regulations
- Understand legal corporate laws and SECP rules
- Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Knowledge of Company Act, 2017 & Insurance Ordinance, 2000
- Design and implement procedures and controls using audit tools and data analytics
- Conduct IS Audits and risk-based audit processes
- Utilize excellent research and analytical skills with good judgment
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Handle multiple tasks with competing priorities and tight deadlines
Qualification Requirements
Option 1:
- Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA)
- Preferably up to 2 years post-qualification experience
Option 2:
- FCMA/FCCA qualification
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience
Additional Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office database
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
