Office of Chief Engineer Irrigation, Development Region-I, Sindh Hyderabad, under the Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh, has announced latest vacancies for eligible candidates holding domicile of Sindh province. Note:
  • Qualification: Graduation/Associate Degree from a recognized university OR minimum Second Division from a recognized university/institute.
  • Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) certificate required.
  • Must possess shorthand and typing speed certificate in English.
  • MS Office proficiency (shorthand and typing) with certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Certificate of proficiency in shorthand from Sindh Board of Applied Economics (SBAE) with minimum 120 words per minute and 35 words per minute typing speed required.
  • Must hold certificate from Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) and HMS Office certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Take dictation in shorthand and transcribe accurately into written form.
  • Prepare official correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintain filing and record-keeping systems.
  • Assist senior officers with administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion.

2. Computer Operator

Gender: Male
Age Limit: 18 - 28 Years
Qualification: Bachelor / Graduation, Diploma in Information Technology
Experience:

1 year relevant experience preferred

Skill Level: Intermediate
Note:
  • Graduation/Associate Degree from a recognized university required.
  • Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) qualification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer operation and data processing required.
  • 1 year experience as Data Processing Assistant is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate computer systems for data entry and document preparation.
  • Maintain and update departmental databases and records.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, presentations, and official correspondence.
  • Provide technical support for office computer systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all digital records.

Terms & Conditions

  • Only candidates with valid Sindh province domicile are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must pass the General Screening Test (NTS/ITS) with minimum 40% marks and possess the General Screening Test pass certificate issued by ITS/NTS.
  • Age relaxation will be granted as per Sindh Civil Service Rules 2024, Rule 7; upper age limit includes 5-year general relaxation.
  • Initial appointment will be on contract basis as per Sindh Government policy.
  • Currently serving government employees must obtain NOC before applying and must bring original NOC at the time of interview.
  • Service terms governed by Sindh Civil Servants Act 1973 and Government notification dated 26.04.2023 as amended from time to time.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
  • Original documents must be presented at time of interview along with the Departmental Selection Committee.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for interview.
