WAPDA requires the services of a qualified and experienced professional as Environment, Health & Safety Expert for Warsak Hydroelectric Power Station 2nd Rehabilitation Project as per the following details:

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
- BS (Hons) in Environmental Sciences / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) from HEC recognized University along with NEBOSH International General Certificate
Experience:
- 05 years of relevant experience and minimum 03 years of experience in International Donor Funded Projects
- Preference will be given to Pukhto speaking candidate having KPK domicile
Tenure
The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for a period of 01 year with 06 months probation period extendable on satisfactory performance of the individual and requirement of the Organization till completion of the project.
Pay Package
Lump Sum Pay Package of Rs. 200,000/- per month (including all perks & privileges)
Mandate / Charter of Duties
- To assist Project management in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) / Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) plan
- To oversee ESMP/EHS compliance for rehabilitation works and existing facilities (Powerhouse, WAPDA Workshop)
- To conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits for all project activities
- To identify potential EHS risks, implement mitigation measures and maintain a risk register
- To prepare, review and ensure timely submission of environmental and social monitoring reports on monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annual basis to WAPDA management and donor agencies as per requirement
- To maintain comprehensive documentation of all EHS activities, including incident reports, audits, inspections and corrective actions
- To collaborate and coordinate with supervision consultants, contractors and WAPDA management on EHS matters
- To engage with donor agencies, local authorities and communities to address EHS concerns
- To develop and conduct EHS training programs for project staff and workers to enhance EHS awareness and compliance
- To conduct EHS awareness sessions and ensure personnel are informed about EHS policies and procedures
- To investigate EHS incidents, accidents and near-misses, determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- To integrate lessons learned into the project’s EHS management system to prevent future incidents

- The services on lump sum pay package shall not be regularized at any stage
