MEPCO, a leading Public Sector Power Distribution Company, seeks a results-driven and visionary Chief Supply Chain Management Officer at its Headquarters in Multan. Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) is a public sector distribution company responsible for supplying electricity to the southern region of Punjab, Pakistan. Established in 1998 following the unbundling of WAPDA, MEPCO operates under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division).     • Qualification: Master's Degree
    • Experience: 10 Years
      • Task:
      • Develop MEPCO supply chain strategy based on organizational vision, strategic goals and direction from CEO and Board Committees.
      • Manage procurement team to perform their duties as per PPRA Rules and MEPCO procurement practices and agreed goals.
      • Lead all procurement teams for equipment, supplies, and services necessary for MEPCO to succeed in its business.
      • Manage teams responsible for all inventory control and logistics of MEPCO for efficient and cost- effective distribution of equipment, supplies, etc., to be delivered to teams of other departments.
      • Ensure effective utilization of the ERP system of MEPCO for optimal supply chain execution.
      • Coordinate with other department heads to maximize effectiveness of supply chain and procurement functions.
      • Updates supply chain framework periodically and validate its alignment with internal business requirements and external (macro-economic) dynamics.

      Note:

      • 16-Years Degree (Master’s preferred) in Supply Chain from a local/foreign university recognized by HEC.
      • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including at least two (2) years in a senior leadership role as Head of Department or in an equivalent strategic leadership position within a large-scale public sector, national, multinational or corporate organization, with due regard to the nature, level and strategic significance of the experience rather than designation or job title alone.
      • No further relaxation will be granted under any circumstances.
      • Market-based competitive salary package (Rs.0.8 to Rs.1 million per month). The Salary Package will be negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications.
      • The role includes additional benefits, allowances, and facilities admissible under the Company’s policy for C-Level executives.
      • Annual performance appraisal will be conducted by the MEPCO Board of Directors.
      • The above-mentioned position is purely contractual in nature, non-pensionable, no long-term benefit and shall not be converted into permanent position at any stage.

A declaration on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100/- to above effect should be provided by the selected candidate as per specimen available on the portal.
  • Candidates must provide the Police Verification Certificate with application.
  • The prospective candidate must be a Pakistani Citizen.
  • HEC equivalence is mandatory for foreign degrees.
  • Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel with NOC of the respective department issued on its letter head, which will also be required on day of interview.
  • Candidates shall be required to produce all original documents at the time of interview.
  • The applications submitted by the candidates will be at the risk and cost of the applicant. Any information found bogus at any stage, during induction or later in service, will result in termination of candidature or employment thereof.
  • No lien shall be admissible and Government employees, if selected, shall be required to resign from their parent service or proceed on retirement, as applicable, prior to joining.
  • On selection, the candidate shall submit at the time of joining an affidavit declaring their non-involvement in any other relevant business/job which may tantamount to conflict of interest.
  • The appointment will be made subject to fulfilment of all codal/legal/administrative formalities.
  • In case of any false/forged information/misrepresentation of record, testimonials etc. provided in the application, MEPCO reserves the right to disqualify a candidate at any stage and the costs incurred will be recovered from the applicant.
  • MEPCO also reserves the right to quash/cancel the whole recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
