Punjab Masstransit Authority is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join their team on a contract basis. Here are the available positions:
1. Executive Director Finance
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of a recognized body of professional accountants or Master’s / M.Phil. in finance/audit (18 years of education from an HEC-recognized institute).
- 12 years of relevant experience in preparation of budgets, annual accounts, financial reporting, funds management, taxation, and financial analysis in public/private sector organizations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the public sector is preferred.
- Age: Up to 55 years.
- OR BS 19 or above serving officer of Provincial Accounts having 15 years or more experience in the relevant field. Age: Up to 60 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, directing, controlling, monitoring, and dealing with finance-related matters of the Authority.
- Maintaining appropriate books of accounts and financial records and implementing an effective system of internal financial control.
- Supervising budgetary control, ensuring financial discipline, and recommending remedial actions.
- Coordinating with regulatory authorities and external parties for finance and accounts-related activities.
- Ensuring timely completion of audits and swift resolution of issues.
- Ensuring adequate controls and substantiating documentation for all transactions.
- Supervising the preparation of statutory and management financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensuring accuracy of all vouchers/payments and maintenance of statutory books of records.
- Maintaining day-to-day financial controls of the PMA and designing internal policies and procedures.
- Ensuring timely and accurate deductions/deposits of applicable taxes and filing of returns.
- Ensuring maintenance of computerized accounting.
- Providing appropriate advice on all financial matters and maintaining an effective system of internal financial control.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
2. Director Operations (OLMT)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Masters in Transportation Engineering OR Masters in Civil Engineering with courses in Transportation Engineering (from HEC recognized institute).
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the OLMRTS services.
- Monitoring the technical aspects of train operations and system optimization.
- Working closely with engineering teams, operations staff, and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring train schedules and operator performance.
- Overseeing the maintenance of trains and associated technical systems.
- Implementing safety procedures for operational staff and passengers.
- Conducting inspections on systems, procedures, and staff performance.
- Fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Continuously monitoring the technical performance of OLMRTS.
- Overseeing the implementation of technical projects.
- Managing vendor relationships for the procurement of technical equipment and services.
- Assisting in team management and performance management.
- Participating in the preparation and review of technical documentation and maintenance plans.
- Evaluating team performance and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Reviewing procurement plans for spare parts, materials, and tools.
- Any other task assigned by Senior Management.
3. IT Expert Surveillance & Networking
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT/Software Engineering / Computer Sciences (16 years education from HEC-recognized institute).
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing technical specifications and tender documents.
- Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance.
- Deployment, Operations & Maintenance, and Performance Monitoring of IT Systems.
- Undertaking additional IT tasks as directed by PMA Management.
4. Assistant Director Electrical PMBS
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering (16 years education from HEC-recognized institute).
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Job Description:
- Verifying IESCO meter readings and processing electricity bills.
- Coordinating with IESCO officials for fault resolution.
- Preparing cost estimates, reserve prices, BOQs, and RFPs for electrical maintenance tenders.
- Supervising maintenance of station equipment.
- Monitoring escalator and elevator service providers.
- Responding to complaints and tasks received through CMS, ITMIS, E-FOAS, and Asset Management Portal.
- Performing any other job-related duty assigned by the management.
5. Audit Assistant
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting, Finance/Audit/ACCA/PIPFA public sector (16 years education from HEC recognized institute).
- 3 years of relevant experience (including articles from a reputed chartered accountant firm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in Audit Planning and data collection.
- Helping in consolidation of replies to audit observations.
- Communicating with team members and management regarding audit results.
- Performing administrative tasks and providing support during external audits.
- Verifying compliance with laws, regulations, and authority’s policies.
- Conducting tests of internal controls.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
6. Accounts Assistant
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.Com Hons. / BBA (Finance) / equivalent (16 years education from HEC recognized institute).
- 3 years of relevant experience in accounts handling and record-keeping.
7. Network Administrator
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT/Software Engineering / Computer Sciences (16 years education from HEC-recognized institute).
- 3 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring computer network hardware.
- Managing & configuring optical fiber/wireless/LAN/WAN/GPON networks.
- Upgrading, repairing, and maintaining computer networks.
- Troubleshooting network issues.
- Providing support for network administration.
- Implementing network policies and procedures.
- Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by the management.
8. Procurement Assistant
Eligibility Criteria:
- 4 years Graduation / Masters in Procurement Management / Contract Management / Business Administration / MBA Supply Chain (16 years of education from HEC recognized institute).
- Relevant experience will be preferred.
- Age: 25 – 35
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support throughout the procurement process.
- Assisting in the preparation of procurement documents.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records.
- Communicating with vendors.
- Coordinating with the finance team on invoice processing.
- Assisting in preparing procurement reports.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
9. Driver
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: Middle.
- 4 years valid LTV license approved by the Traffic License Issuing Authority of the Punjab Police Department.
- Age: 22 – 40
10. Receptionist
Eligibility Criteria:
- 4 years Graduation / Masters (16 years of education from HEC recognized institute).
- At least 2 years of post qualification relevant experience.
- Age: 22 – 35
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors.
- Answer and transfer phone calls.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail.
- Handle incoming and outgoing letters.
- Maintain office filing systems.
- Operate office equipment.
- Perform data entry.
- Assist in coordinating with management.
- Ensure the reception area is presentable.
- Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
