Deputy Manager Job Description

Overview

The Deputy Manager will oversee the planning, execution, coordination, and supervision of all conservation, restoration, electrical, and allied works at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh. This role ensures compliance with WCLA’s heritage conservation standards, project specifications, and administrative procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent WCLA in all on-site matters related to project implementation.
• Supervise site teams, including Conservationists, Sub Engineers, and Foremen.
• Ensure execution of works in accordance with approved drawings, conservation methodologies, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant government departments.
• Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to timelines.
• Maintain regular communication and reporting with WCLA Head Office.
• Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports, inspection notes, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure implementation of heritage conservation protocols and safety regulations.
• Support documentation and archiving of project progress, including photographic records and site diaries.

Qualification and Experience

• BSc Civil Engineering / BS Architecture registered with PCATP.
• 7 years of relevant experience.
• Preference will be given to the candidate having relevant higher qualification and experience.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficient in project management and site supervision.
• Knowledge of heritage conservation protocols and safety regulations.
