Project: Cyber Security for Digital Pakistan, Phase-I
The Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications for project-based positions on a contract basis in Islamabad. These roles are under the project “Cyber Security for Digital Pakistan, Phase-I”.

| System/Network Penetration Tester | PPS-07 | 1 (Merit) | 35 years (relaxable up to 40 years) | Bachelor’s degree (minimum 14-16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university. | Minimum 5 years in Information Technology, Information Security, or Project Management, with hands-on experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or ethical hacking. | Proficiency in tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, and Kali Linux for system/network testing. Ability to identify vulnerabilities, simulate attacks, and recommend mitigations. Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or CompTIA PenTest+ are highly desirable. Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and compliance with frameworks like OWASP or NIST. Good report-writing and communication skills for documenting findings. |
| Data Center Technician (Power) | PPS-05 | 1 (Merit) | 40 years (relaxable up to 45 years) | Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field from a recognized technical board; or Bachelor’s degree (14 years of education) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Information Technology. | Minimum 6 years in Information Technology or data center operations, specifically in power systems, UPS maintenance, generators, and electrical infrastructure. | Hands-on experience with power distribution, backup systems, HVAC integration, and fault troubleshooting in data centers. Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency, and monitoring tools for power quality. Certifications like Certified Data Centre Technician Professional (CDCTP) or equivalent electrical safety qualifications are preferred. Ability to handle physical tasks, on-call duties, and emergency responses. |
Terms and Conditions:

- Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
- The Ministry believes in gender equality and reserves the right not to fill the posts or withhold appointment against the advertised posts.
- Candidates already in Government Service are required to provide NOC at the time of interview.
- The appointments shall be made purely on contract basis extendable further till the completion of project after evaluation of their performance.
- General age relaxation of five years will be applicable to all posts.
