Election Commission of Pakistan Job Announcement

The Election Commission of Pakistan is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Deputy Director (G&SI) and Assistant Director (G&SI). These roles offer opportunities to contribute to the electoral process and gender mainstreaming within the organization.

Available Positions:

1. Deputy Director (G&SI) (BS-18)

  • Number of Posts: 01 (Contract basis for 1 year)
  • Domicile: Merit
  • Age Limit: 35 years
  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in Pakistan

Qualification & Experience:

Master Degree (Equivalent to 16 years of education). Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Public Administration or Law is Advantageous / Gender & Women Studies will be preferred.

Experience Details
Required Experience
  • 5 Years’ experience as a Researcher with knowledge of research databases and research methods, gender advocacy, technical support to government bodies on gender and research in gender issues in Government Organizations/Semi Government (s)/Private sector.
  • In depth Knowledge of national legal framework related to the gender and non-discrimination and of Pakistan civil service organizational management and social psychology.
  • Experience in elections, particularly working in an electoral management body is preferable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the electoral cycle, electoral operations and planning will be considered as advantage.
  • Computer literacy and a desire to embrace technology are essential and Skilled in the use of information technology equipment, and use of the internet and social media.

2. Assistant Director (G&SI) (BS-17)

  • Number of Posts: 01 (Regular basis)
  • Domicile: Punjab
  • Age Limit: 30 Years
  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in Pakistan

Qualification & Experience:

i.Master’s Degree (Equivalent to 16 years of education). ii.Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Public Administration or Law is Advantageous / Gender & Women Studies will be preferred.

  • Two (02) years’ experience in a responsible position in an organization or firm of reputed public or private sector.

Instructions:

  1. Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993.
  2. Applicants working in Government/Semi Government/Autonomous bodies may apply through proper channel.
  3. Applications received after cut-off date shall not be entertained.
  4. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview. Hard copies of attested educational documents, experience certificate(s) including NIC, one recent passport size photograph & domicile along with CVs shall be submitted by the shortlisted candidates as & when asked by the ECP.
  5. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in test/interview.
  6. The Authority reserves the right to increase the number of vacancies or to cancel the process of recruitment of advertised posts without assigning any reason(s).
