The Forest & Wildlife Department, Government of Sindh, is actively seeking qualified individuals to join its team. We are offering opportunities for dedicated professionals in various roles. Below is a detailed overview of the available positions:
Lady Demonstrator (BPS-10)
Job Responsibilities:
- To check and control all works within her jurisdiction and to ensure that Government funds are used in the most efficient way.
- To communicate all orders and instructions to her subordinates and to ensure they understand and carry them out.
- To protect Government interests by insisting upon good work from all subordinates and labour and by producing the highest revenue.
- To prevent any misuse of authority by subordinates.
- Responsible for conducting rearing operations during autumn and spring.
- Responsible for extension works of sericulture and to motivate people residing in her jurisdiction.
- To check and control diseases of silkworm and adopt measures to prevent them during rearing seasons.
- Responsible for the maintenance of mulberry plantation and its leaf production according to requirements.
- Responsible for all sericulture operations, including rearing of silkworm, harvesting and drying of silk cocoon, and silk yarn reeling.
- To control sericulture products strictly from theft and pilferage.
- To carry out orders given and report to the Mulberry Cultivation Officer/Officer Incharge on all important happenings.
- To carry out silk seed distribution to rearers and responsible for collecting the value of silk seed.
- To visit private silkworm rearers and provide them with technical knowledge at their doorstep.
Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate in at least Second Division from a recognized University.
Statistical Assistant (BPS-11)
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, and record statistical data from field offices, surveys, and departmental sources.
- Assist in data tabulation, classification, and analysis using approved formats.
- Maintain records, registers, and databases of statistical information.
- Provide clerical and technical support to Statistical Officers and senior staff.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the competent authority.
Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
- B.A. at least in 2nd Division with Statistics as one of the subjects OR B.Com at least in 2nd Division.
Forest Guard (BPS-5)
Job Responsibilities:
- To be fully acquainted with his beat and to have knowledge of everything taking place therein.
- To be fully acquainted with and to possess a list of rights, privileges, and concessions that may be exercised by the people in the forests of his beat.
- Strictly to observe the rules for compounding forest offenses.
- To carry out, under orders of the range officer, repairs to boundary pillars, roads, and buildings in his beat.
- To carry out, without orders, maintenance of fences, tending operations in regeneration areas and plantings, weeding of young plants (without incurring expenditure without the range officer’s sanction).
- To ensure that shooting rules are observed and to put a stop to illegal shooting and trapping.
Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
- Secondary School Certificate in Second Division from a recognized Board of Education.
- Height: 5’-6″ minimum.
- Chest: 32″-34″ after expansion.
- Eyesight: 6/6 with or without glasses.
- Workable skill of Swimming.
- Note: Selected candidates will undergo an in-service Forest Guard’s course from Forest School Miani.
